Permanent makeup is the art and science of implanting specialized pigments specially designed for micropigmentation, into the skin by means of a tiny, sterile, disposable needle. A very effective topical system is used to numb the area to eliminate potential pain and discomfort. Procedure is no more painful than having your eyebrows tweezed. All equipment and instruments used for permanent makeup are sanitized. Disposable and sterile needles and accessories are wrapped individually. Surgical gloves are used for each procedure. In many individuals these procedures are indeed permanent, for others they may be semi-permanent.

What to search for before having any procedure done

Question if the technician is certified by a reputable school.

Ask to see "before" and "after" pictures of previous clients.

Environment must be sterile, and all parts being used should be disposable, not just the needle. All other instruments must be wrapped in disposable plastic "for your protection" (i.e. mirrors and trays).

Receive proper consultation for shape, colour ...etc. and that the design is "outlined" (before any work is to be done). By no means should you trust the technician to do anything "free-hand".

Enquire that the procedure includes a free touch-up service, otherwise you will pay again if fading occurs after healing.
